I love visuals and they help me to have the key decision points in front of me. Let me know if you would like the template 😉

When I first started diving into personal development, I had a long conversation with a friend about the future. At the time, I felt the need to be in control — to know exactly what’s next.

That’s when they said something that stuck with me:

💡 “Life is like Google Maps.”

You might know where you want to go, but there will always be unexpected roadblocks — a construction zone forcing you to take a detour, traffic slowing you down, or maybe even a better route appearing along the way.

The Journey vs. The Destination

Since then, this model has helped me reevaluate my situation whenever I feel stuck or uncertain. Over time, I’ve learned that sometimes

the country roads — the slow, winding, unexpected paths — offer the best views and lessons.

And sometimes, when you reach the destination, it feels…odd. Not quite like you imagined.

Right now, I find myself at this stage again. Helping people has always been my core destination, but now I’m exploring different ways to get there:

📍 A clarity retreat I’m working on

📍 Writing blog posts to share insights (after years of keeping my thoughts to myself)

📍 Speaking up about things that others avoid — because sometimes change starts with saying what nobody else will

Finding Your Own Route

There isn’t just one way to reach your dreams. My own future holds many possible destinations—and there are hundreds of ways to get there.

But if we aren’t clear on where we want to go, we might end up chasing someone else’s destination—a path that doesn’t bring us joy or energy.

So, ask yourself:

💭 What’s your dream destination?

💭 If it feels too far away, what’s the next stop on your map?

In my case, I can’t make my ultimate dream happen overnight. But I moved to France to create the possibility. Now, it’s on me to learn the language and take the next steps.

The same applies to coaching, mentoring, and helping people like you figure out where you want to go — and how to navigate the map to get there.

Or maybe, using my favorite metaphor:

🏄‍♀️🌊 learning how to surf, finding your balance, and getting comfortable in your own flow.

Nothing Will Just Fall Into Place—You Have to Move Toward It

Opportunities don’t just land in your lap. You have to chase them, create them, and be open to the alternative routes that appear along the way.

And speaking of routes… decision-making plays a big role. But that’s a topic for next week. Because if you don’t make a decision—it’s still a decision. 😉

Let’s Talk! 🚀

What about you? What’s holding you back from chasing your dream?

Send me a message via email or DM on Instagram — I’d love to hear about your journey and maybe help you navigate those roadblocks. 💬
